255-Day Calendar/Salary is commensurate with verifiable years of experience.
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Work experience as a custodian, familiarity with chemical safety, floor cleaning/care procedures and the use of appropriate machinery.
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Superintendent of Schools may find appropriate and acceptable.
Responsibilities:
Prompt and regular attendance.
Follow and meet the standards set for building cleanliness, basic maintenance and safety procedures.
Utilize appropriate chemicals, supplies, and equipment, which have been approved for use according to Policies and Procedures to perform assigned tasks.
Areas of cleaning include:
floors, tile and carpet, windows, walls, classrooms, common areas, gym, lunchroom, offices, outside grounds areas, and others as assigned.
Maintain custodial tools and equipment in a clean, sanitary, and safe working condition according to instructions and guidelines, Maintain appropriate, positive and cooperative working relationships with team members, assigned facility staff, and other employees in all work related interactions.
Perform various duties as assigned by the Principal.

Physical Requirements:
Able to perform routine physical activities that are required to fulfill job responsibilities including:
Medium Work:
Exerting 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently and/or up to 20 pounds as needed to move objects.
Evaluation:
Performance of this job will be evaluated annually by the principal in accordance with the provisions of the Board's policy on classified evaluation.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
